Dear Colleagues, The Department of Economics and Management of the University of Parma is very pleased to host the tenth European Auditing Research Network (EARNet) Symposium and PhD Workshop. The Symposium is established as a major event in Europe for presentation and discussion of auditing research papers. It also provides a forum for academics, practitioners, policy-makers and standard-setters to discuss auditing research and current issues in the auditing environment. The Symposium includes parallel sessions of presentation and discussion of research papers, a plenary panel session and a keynote speech. The keynote speech will be given by David Hay (University of Auckland). The Symposium’s panel session will focus on “Audits in a digitalized world – What´s new?”. There will be a best paper award. We want to thank our sponsor, Deloitte, for its generous financial support of the EARNet Symposium. We hope that all participants will enjoy the tenth edition of the European Auditing Research Symposium, but also the city of Parma with Parma Unesco Creative City of Gastronomy, and its influential associated figure such as Giuseppe Verdi.
